Tarryn Brummage
from Ting’s Tattoo Studio
What first sparked your interest and passion for the tattoo industry?
One of my closest friends got into the industry and I got to see all the new things she was learning with her art and how tattooing is just another medium for an artist. She inspired me to get an apprenticeship, to grow my art and even to start tattooing.
What style of tattoo do you enjoy creating the most and why?
I have a very strong passion for realism as it’s something I’ve always specialised in with drawing and painting, and I strive to create the most realistic tattoos that there is. I find it a challenge to create something so life-like and I love the challenge.
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
Sometimes from other artists and sometimes inspiration just hits me like a train, out of nowhere. So sometimes I go out looking for inspiration from other people and other times it finds me, showing me the small things in life. It’s very erratic and unpredictable.
